When most people think of Spring Break they think of a sunny beaches, fruity cocktails decorated with little umbrellas, and sunshine. I wish I could say that my Spring Break included at least two of those, however I'm afraid that I'm going to need a break after the Spring Break I've had.
JP and I had two wonderful weeks off, and flew out to St. Louis to spend some time with Andrew and Elvis. While there in addition to finally closing on our new home, I managed to find a job, and a babysitter. Not the most relaxing break, but certainly productive. Additionally Andrew and I spent several hours picking out furniture, arguing over paint colors, and investigating the cost of flooring options. We are both very excited about being homeowners, but certainly show our excitement in two different ways. While I'm looking up eco-friendly paints, and trying to figure out where I'm going to plant my little vegetable patch, Andrew is looking at blue neon Jukeboxes for our basement.
That is not to say that we didn't have any fun. JP and I met some new friends (Laura and Ella), and explored some of the family friendly options St. Louis has to offer (Babler Park, the St. Louis Zoo, the Butterfly House, City Garden, and Laurmeier Sculpture Park to name a few.) I am very much looking forward to relocating to St. Louis in just over 7 weeks. Though I'll miss the incredible microclimate of San Diego, St. Louis seems about the most perfect location for us at this point in our lives.
