One of my favorite recent developments is in the area of self understanding. He can point out his head, his tongue, his feet, and his belly. Additionally he has developed a sense of self, and pride. One of my favorite moments in the past week has been watching JP put a hat on his head and gaze at himself in the mirror. He loves his reflection....That said, our mirrors are now constantly filthy from little finger prints.
Do more than belong: participate. Do more than care: help. Do more than believe: practice. Do more than be fair: be kind. Do more than forgive: forget. Do more than dream: work. William Arthur Ward

more words....
James has had an explosion of development in the past couple weeks. In fact he accomplished several firsts while visiting Andrew in St. Louis. He learned how to kick a "football" (aka soccer ball for you Americans reading this post), and jump. In addition to these new motor skills he has acquired several new words. Though his comprehension is far superior to his current vocabulary he is now up to about nine words, though a couple of them are a little strange....he's got (Dada, Mom, ball, car, baby, this, Whoo Whoo (train), nana (banana) and bob (cat). Not sure why he continues to call the cat "bob", but he uses it consistently so I'm going to count it as a word.
