Baby Gourmet

How fast time flies. Take for example the last three weeks. James and I were lucky enough to host Granny Ball while I was putting the finishing touches on my final LJCDS high school musical. While I was taking my daily ride on the "Surrey with the Fringe On Top", she and James had a terrific time - spending much of their time outdoors, playing on the beach or taking long walks, as evidenced by James newly acquired farmer tan and sun bleached hair.

His language development continued to blossom under his Granny's care adding words like cracker, car, bubble, diaper, and turtle to his growing vocabulary. Despite the rapid improvement though the cat is still "bob" around here.

I know that I've made mention of this in past posts before - but one of the most remarkable things about James is his ability, and willingness to eat almost anything. Margaret (Granny Ball), Andrew, James and I recently visited "The Fishery" - a wonderful local restaurant here in Pacific Beach. Out of sheer curiosity we offered JP a few things that most adults wouldn't touch, and were
shocked when he gobbled down fist fulls of calamari, seaweed salad, halibut and most shocking of all - fresh lemon wedges. (It's makes my mouth pucker just thinking about the latter. So - either we have a budding gourment on our hands, or his taste buds don't work! : )
