Wicked!

Well we made it to Boston. Our trip was rather smooth considering James was suffering from a stomach upset for most of the trip. (Poor little man)
We left St. Louis on Friday June 15th and spent our first day traveling past arguably some of the most boring scenery in America - miles and miles of flat green farmland in Illinois, Indiana and Ohio. I couldn't help but compare this road trip to the one we made only two years ago - traveling from San Diego to St. Louis. That trip was filled with the interesting and beautiful sights of the Southwest including the California and Arizona deserts  and the mountains of New Mexico.Day one of this road trip was not looking all that promising. We spent our first night just outside of my childhood home of Dayton, Ohio. We woke up the next morning and headed out early. (What's to look at in Dayton afterall!?) Our travels on Saturday included some more attractive sights including a brief stop at the American Falls in Niagara Falls, New York. Though the natural beauty was apparent we were surprised by the number of tacky tourist shops and kiosks polluting the area. With Elvis in town the only way Andrew and I were able to visit the falls were by dividing the children and viewing the falls separately so that one of us was always with Elvis. That night we had the option of stopping Buffalo, NY however we made the bold decision to dive on, stopping later that night in Syracuse, NY. This decision saved us a great deal of time and enabled us to arrive in our temporary accommodations by early afternoon on Sunday June 17th Happy Fathers Day)

Our temporary accommodations are less than ideal. With only one bedroom and a loft area it leaves this family of 6 (two children, two adults and two pets) with very little room to move or find a quiet place. It does however provide us with the motivation to find and buy a home quickly.

We are slowly getting familiar with our new home. We took some time this week to visit the beach, the Gloucester Maritime Museum and Endicott Park. It's obvious that our new home has a lot to offer, and we look forward to exploring it! Next on the to-do list.......register JP for swimming lessons and the YMCA
