James - is doing very well in preschool. There is no doubt that this kid is 100% boy. I send him off to school well scrubbed and brushed and the boy that I get back in the afternoon is anything but that. Today for example his clothes, arms and hair were splattered with papermache (they are making dragon eggs at school).Of course I'd much rather him spend time outdoors or working on messy projects than sitting in front of the television, but it is difficult to keep up with the mounds of dirty laundry! He is also growing like mad and becoming more and more clever with each passing day. His rapidly increasing vocabulary provides Andrew and I with a constant stream of entertainment. ("Did you teach him THAT word?")
Lilith is also a constant source of entertainment and joy for Andrew and I. She is such a happy baby and always quick with a big, toothy smile or giggle. She is an expert at propelling herself around the house on her tummy. I'd be lying if I didn't admit to entertaining the idea of strapping a sponge to her - it would certainly be one way to get the floors swept. But she is well on her way now - she can pull herself up into a seated position, or onto her knees. Much to JP's despair this means that she is more able to get to his things.....and of course given the option she would MUCH rather play with JP's toys than the pile of "baby" toys piled in the corner for her.
