October

What an incredible day! The weather here is finally turning and the trees are now sporting a beautiful array of autum colors. We've only a few more weeks to enjoy the warm weather before winter sets in and forces us indoors.

Today we spent the mid morning and afternoon at the St. Louis Scottish Games. James truly enjoyed himself.....lunching on fish and chips, slurping down some Irn Bru, feeding the wooly sheep, chasing after the Scottish wolf hounds, and collecting stamps from each of the clan tents. Andrew and I were much more impressed with the herding dog trails, the pipe bands, the caber tossing and the hay bail toss.

After a quick late afternoon nap we were off again - this time to Castlewood Park. The evening weather was perfect for James to toss small rocks into the creek that runs through the park, and to chase the birds through the large open fields. Though to be honest I am not sure who had more fun running through the fields.....James or Andrew?

The weather was cool enough that Lilith was finally able to wear her new cashmere hat that Andrew purchased for her while in Paris.(A cashmere hat for an infant....)

A truly lovely day with my beautiful family....
