TEETH!

Say cheese.....

J.P. is finally getting his first tooth (or teeth) I'm not certain, but it looks like there are two coming at once. Of course he picked the hottest week of the year. So add teething pain to 80+ temperatures without air conditioning and you can imagine that he's not the happiest little guy at the moment.

As for other development firsts....he has been able to sit up on his own for quite some time now and is lunging left, right,forward and backwards for anything that looks interesting. His hand coordination is great, and he is able to pass small toys back and forth between them, and put his pacifier into his mouth. He's also getting onto all fours and rocking back and forth. All signs point to crawling - soon. (Hopefully not too soon as we haven't baby proofed the house yet!)He has also mastered the sippy cup!!

He's still a social butterfly and quick with a wry smile. He's particullarly fond of Elvis and his Dad these days. When either come into the room he erupts into squeals and smiles.

I've also heard a few new "babbles" lately. He's been fond of blowing rapsberries for sometime now, but has expanded his vocabulary to include "gah",and "bah".
